EYE FOR DESIGN: Meet Sarah Exigent’s Graphic Designer and Content Specialist

Hello everyone! My name is Sarah. I am Exigent’s Graphic Designer and Content Specialist. Here at Exigent, I create (almost) everything that is designed digitally and for print, along with creating social media content and captions. I have now been at Exigent for a few months, and am learning so much along the way!

EYE FOR DESIGN

My whole life it was always apparent that I had an eye for design and a love for creativity. My Dad is my greatest inspiration in design, as he is a design engineer at General Motors. Throughout elementary school, art class was my favorite activity of the week. It was an environment that allowed me to relax, unwind, and put my thoughts away to create.

At the end of elementary school, I had the opportunity to enter a drawing contest that would determine the cover of that year's yearbook! I ended up winning the contest, which I feel is what truly sparked my interest in turning my passion into a career.

Fast forward six years later and I was a senior in high school. My passion for creating still lingered, but I had extreme uncertainty about how I would make a career of it. With the help of my amazingly supportive parents, together we did some research, which led me to a career path in graphic design!

DREAMS DO COME TRUE!

In May of 2021, after five years of college, I graduated from Lawrence Technological University, with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. So here I am today!

I am very lucky to have found a career that makes me so happy. Working as a graphic designer for Exigent has provided me with many resources to gain new skills, networking opportunities, and opportunities for growth.

Before becoming employed here I had followed along on Exigent’s journey and its growth as a company. I truly love my job and I am so grateful to be a part of Exigent!
